This appears to be a way for artists to list their upcoming virtual events. The article is way confusing. Here’s the original press release. Announcing Four New Virtual Events Partners – Spotify for Artists
couldn’t find it in the article i posted, but some redditor mentions:
I got overly excited at first, but you’ll still have to buy a Nugs subscription to listen. It’s not like the entire archive is readily available to Spotify subscribers. It’s a nice feature, and might get more artists involved with Nugs.
Bummer. That said, I’d love to see more and more artists release live recordings, so hopefully ups the awareness that there’s a thriving market for it
Strange, thanks for the clarification cause this sentence is pretty misleading:
Spotify announced a partnership with the premiere live music streaming platform, which means that Spotify users worldwide will now have access to the rich catalog that nugs.net has to offer.
Yeah that article sucks. The subtitle is “Spotify subscribers will be able to view nugs.net’s full archive of concerts” which is absolutely not true unless I’m misunderstanding the press release
Nickelback is autoplaying anytime I open play.nugs and I think I’m just gonna cancel my sub.
I have same problem except it’s leave me Las vegas
The nugs gods are punishing you.
Have we talked recently about how the nugs app sucks?
It’s embarrassingly bad
Remember when we thought Spotify was gonna offer all nugs content? Man that would be nice.
The last few months Nugs only plays on my phone if it’s open. If I lock my phone, Nugs stops. Wtf is that
Was doing that for me too. I just closed the app a few times and it started back up
Interesting. I haven’t had that issue. I do, however, wish the app supported gapless playback.
That’s exactly what prompted my post
It does for me
Pressing the back button on my phone minimizes the app and when I open it again I’m at the home screen. Thankfully doesn’t fuck up playback but it’s so annoying.
You get gapless playback? If so, is there something in the settings I need to adjust?
No idea. One day it just started doing it.
Also I just realized 95% of the time I’m using nugs I’m listening to stuff downloaded onto my phone because driving between AZ and Vegas or up the mountain I lose signal a lot.
