Venues Umphrey's Will Never Play Again

Talking about Navy Pier. Not sure if it can host a concert but they should look into the new venue “The Yard.” It looks amazing

Deer Creek (or whatever it’s called now)

Add Alpine Valley too. No way they ever get back to these big sheds

Let’s be honest, the only reason they were there was as opening acts (which seemed to make a lot of sense in the mid-2000’s)

I’m sure well see a Wednesday or Thursday show there again. It’s just as realistic for 2022 than the year they played it last.

Yes I would love that too, but what does that mean about their production? I feel like they’ve done smaller rooms than HG in the last 6 months. Hell, they played that gym/old car dealership in KC last weekend…

Probably too small for their light rig…ceilings are pretty low at HG.

Doesn’t always matter. They played that place in Rochester where they literally couldn’t fit any lights. It was great

There was a murder in the parking lot about a month before the show.
Their liquor licenses were revoked in July '08 for not paying taxes.
It remained closed until 2013.
In 2013 it was tore down and by 2015 there were condos in it’s place.

Based on the growth of the surrounding area, I don’t know how long the 930 Club is going to last in its current location.

Here it is as Duke Ellington’s club in 1948

Is the entire exterior made of plywood? Serious question, never been there and that’s what it looks like in the pics.

google street view provides a better look, thought the same thing.
