Today in Umphrey's McGee History

Ugh, this roulette has always been one of my faves. So freaking gorgeous.

Also the podcast it was featured on (86 I think?) totally slaps.

Goddamn right it was. One of my top shows attended.

Also, that beautiful people tease in mulches was :pinched_fingers:

04/05/2008 is a fun show. Remember watching the webcast on iclips, which was a novel thing at the time for me, anyway. Living room dance party.

While on the subject of 4/5, 1 year since the last, IMO, great show with Kris on drums. Big fan of the BTL, and the birthday Take It To Church from Myers. Menefee sit-ins were a very wildly unsuspecting blast. Lowkey GOAT Nopener.

20 year anniversary of one of the hardest tickets i’ve ever tried to get. was a great time. i got a parking ticket that night, but had pretty much a baller spot a block away from CBGB

Is Punkle Wally as bad at I’ve heard some say it is?

as a fluffer, i’d say there is merit for nearly all “one and dones” for the mere fact that they were trying something. from a historical perspective, it is neat.

the band thought it was worthy of throwing in as one of the mantis pre-order bonus rounds.

that said, feel free to form your own opinion, as it is available to hear

…except, it looks like the mantis bonus was actually the summercamp 2004 version. and i was also wrong as it isn’t a true one-timer-only

Not putting too much stock in this. Band has made plenty of questionable decisions with albums

It doesn’t even register on the UM cringe scale IMO. The version from Summercamp 2005 kinda rips. The original song is obviously much better.

You’re telling me you’ve never spun this show before? One of the best Resolutions of all time imo.

20 year anniversary bump!! :clinking_beer_mugs:

It’s so wild to think about how it’s now been over half my life that I’ve been seeing this band. Not sure how to feel about this…
