My 100th show & an amazing way to kick off a really great 3 night run. This was overall the best of the 3 shows, IMO, but the Canopy Club the next night had some serious next level moments.

Now 17 years. Such a great year of UM & feel so lucky to have been able to run around the Midwest like a degenerate hitting so many shows. My only regret is not putting more energy and effort into seeing the Biscuits that year as well, because they were also crushing.

This Kat’s> Ringo> BLBC> Ringo & Nemo are seriously amazing segments. The darkness of the majority of set 2, with that Nemo jam in the middle, was quite the head fuck. Abacab to start the set off was so perfect.

Accidentally went a little deeper than I had expected that night, but it was perfect.

Really great show that night!

Yet another yearly bump! What a couple nights, between Madison the previous night followed by this gem.

Obligatory bump for awesomeness!! What an amazing mini run of shows…I will forever hold these 3 nights in super high regard.

Feel like the 3rd night of this awesome little run needs a bump as well. There were some great moments for sure, but the bar was set far too high by Madison & Urbana. This was my one and only Last Train Home though, so that was a very special end to the evening.

love that guy. haven’t run into him since the tsunami relief shows in san francisco but got a chance to see a handful of moe. and UM shows with him.

second time i saw UM was 6/29/2002. a week later, im in a parking lot in cleveland before a moe./claypool double bill and run into McL. i let him know that i loved that 6/29 show and it clicked much more with me than the first time i saw UM. he told me to wait a second, and he went to the front seat of his car and then handed me a pair of CDs encompassing the 6/29 show that he had taped

What an amazing 2 night run this was. I remember the excitement when we heard the news that UM decided to do a 3 set show at the Barrymore when we rolled into Madison. What a treat that was. The Chicago show was so f’n good, then they just managed to absolutely destroy Madison that next night. Such great memories of all those shows from the early years at the Barrymore. What a great place to see young, upcoming bands.

Yearly obligatory fluff. Still have such vivid memories of these 2 shows. The HOB is still my only time catching a Hey 19…sure do hope that changes soon. It’s going on 20 years now, which is a crime.

Officially now been 21 years. Bittersweet for sure. Both of these shows are f’n stellar. Some really great memories from each of them!

This show was a ton of fun. I still to this day feel a little guilty that nobody took our money at the door, and it was a benefit show. I was younger & didn’t wanna spend an extra $15 or whatever at the time, so I didn’t say shit.
