Felt like bumping these shows today, as I have some very fond memories of both nights. While I wouldn’t put these shows particularly high on my favorites list, this was a really fun 2 nights & great way to kick off UM’s move away from the Rave/Eagle’s days. It had been a long time coming & was such a great feeling to see them in such a wonderful room. I had a buddy Dan from La Crosse come in for his 1st shows, & he was picked up by OG bort friend Jason (Cleofus) who was living in Rochester MN at the time. They had never met, but I set up the ride & they got along quite well. I had played some shows for him & he ~kinda~ got it, but went into these shows basically on my suggestion that I felt he’d dig it. Told him that their originals & jams are where it’s at, but they also play a wide range of cool covers which encompass nearly all genres. So, after the 1st set of night 1, Dan was super impressed despite not knowing much of anything he heard. The fact that they happened to drop Cherub Rock mid set 2, then Mother as 1st song of encore blew his mind, as both tunes are right in his wheelhouse. The array of mashups from n2 had him reeling with excitement. His reaction to all these covers was a pretty damn awesome thing to witness.

This late night show (think it started around 11pm or midnight?) was at the HoB in Mandalay Bay over a Vegoose weekend. Couple of incredible sets, including one of the most rockin’ Snucka Pt. 3s of all time. Also, the first part of Kitchen has an incredibly funky dance jam.
I think I went and tried to play some texas holdem during the setbreak? Or maybe did so after the show - can’t remember. Anyways, give it a spin - it’s
