Umphrey’s McGee - Glory - 11/3/2006
I still watch this Glory sometimes when I’m feeling down
Anniversary bump!! This show is very solid, and each set has wonderful flow & some very tight jams. If it weren’t for the profound excellence of the nights before and after this one, it would be viewed with much more love by the UM fanbase. Even the fact that they dropped SOYCD in the middle of Ringo, rather than just full on improv, doesn’t sting as much as some would complain about since it has that sax element. The 1st set is so damn solid, top to bottom. I used to spin that set, set 2 of 11/2 & set 1 of 11/4 an obnoxious amount for a couple years after these shows. What an amazing 3 night run!!
Anniversary bump!! ![]()
Happy anniversary to another one of my favorites. Both nights are great, but I think this one wins overall. Whole first set is amazing and second set breathe is an all timer

This show does slay. Someone from here sent me cd’s of this and then a bunch of goblin albums back when I was in college.

That 11-2-06 show is packed full of top tier moments, and I would’ve never expected either of the 2 shows that followed to hit anywhere near those same levels, but this show is right there with it, IMHO…

Motha-fückin’ bumpski. Such an amazing end to an epic 3 day run. The 1st half hour of each set is just so dialed in, then both sets also bring more goodies after that. Such a stacked show all around

I’m so very happy that UM has finally left that f’n venue in the past, but there’s no denying some of the legendary nights at the Eagles/Rave. This was a great way to end that era, and move on to the better, greener pasture that is the Riverside.
11 year anniversary bump!!

Good times 12 years ago today, but so glad they’re no longer playing the Rave/Eagle’s.
The exclusive company pre show, this show and then the late night was such a fun day of music

This was an amazing 2 nights of UM. The 11-9 show has amazing flow & some great moments, but I still feel like the 11-10 show slightly nudges it out overall.

I recently revisited these 2 shows, and I still lean towards the 11-10 show, by just a tiny bit. I’m sure it’s partial song preference bias, but even that isn’t a very big margin. I just loved that 3X, Liquid > DBK so damn much, and then that August, Blecho > Water > Blecho was fire. The 11-9 sets each had better flow than the 11-10, but I still dig the jams more in 11-10. Encore of 11-9 def wins that battle though.
Yet another obligatory (double) bump!! Does not feel like these were 15 years ago.

Nostalgia bump!! What a fun couple nights ![]()
Going through more random stuff & found these from 11/5/2011
Edit: forgot to mention the funny part about these VIP balcony passes is that I had some free tix for this show and I had planned to bring my 65yr old father to his 1st show, but he had some back/leg related issues due to a VietNam injury. I had reached out to someone related to a band member to see if they could help secure a spot where he could sit. Well, pops bailed day of the show & the passes went mostly unused. If my dad wasn’t there, I had no plans to separate from my friends to sit up in the balcony. Felt like a turd asking for these special accommodations, then not needing/using them in the end. ![]()

last Mamu 12.14.2002 (792 shows)Very solid 1st set here, and set 2 had a few great moments as well, but was definitely a bit underwhelming in comparison. The Mamu bust out was great, then Rocker 2 & Higgins had some love, but IMO it’s all about the 1st set. The fuzz in the encore spot was fun also.
13 year bump for solid Dump, Haunt & the return of Mamu!!…
I’ve got a good buddy who has a friend who was the bar manager there back in like ‘06-‘11. He’d get tipped off to what color those free drink tickets were going to be for bands we were planning to see. He’d go buy a roll of tickets of the appropriate color & we’d have a great f’n time with ‘em. Handed out so many free drink tix to friends and strangers who seemed like they’d be appreciative. The only basic stipulation was that anyone scamming the bar made sure to over tip the staff, so they’d look the other way & not call out someone who came back like a dozen times, when the offer was 2 tix per voucher.
I hate that venue so much, but there were def some top tier shows, as well as some serious perks at times.
15th anniversary bump!!

Super solid show, top to bottom. Had such a blast at this one. I’m very grateful to have seen as many shows this year as I did. I saw even more in ‘07, but I caught some serious gems in ‘06. What a great time to be a dedicated fanatic of this band.

I really miss IVOY being a fairly regular occurrence.
16th anniversary bump!
Awesome show all around! ![]()
I loved both of those bijou shows
Water/Bridgeless are probably the best two back to back jams they have ever done and that includes IC > Synco. Just absolute perfection, that Bridgeless goes so hard
