Today in Umphrey's McGee History

oh yeah 03.22.2007 day. One of my favorite shows attended. That second set is absolutely wild.

This show was really fun and agree on the echo. Mighta been my first sweetness which is such an incredible tune.

Did the whole run (shout out to Dean for putting us up in his family’s house for the night, though doubt you’re around these parts these days…)

Can confirm it was amazing. Old school southern tour was a whole thing unto itself.

Another great night at the shit hole Rave, but this was a very fun show 19 years ago today. :beers:

A MASSIVE performance.

Sick beautiful people tease in mulches and it’s one of the first times I recall them doing that extended jam of a composed part early in mulches… became much more popular in years following (sorry for horrible description)

One of my fav shows ever soooo good

A big reason I missed bumping this show 2 days ago was that we were packing a ton of stuff for a move. I found this, which I couldn’t help but chuckle about due to the date. Ahh, the good old days of writing out a setlist in real time at the show, on a headful in the dark. Particular nod to Hangover being written on top of the 40’s…haha.

:beers: :+1:

I used to keep a little mini notebook to write setlist and notes in

Looks exactly how I’d expect it to.

15 year bump for my 7th show. Two firsts for me with Red and It’s About That Time. I remember the Fancy and DBK standing out coming in at 24 and 35 minutes, respectively.

I had one of these too. Would love to find it, I know I have it around somewhere.

Your handwriting is way cleaner than in my old notebooks

fun to see a bunch of other folks did the 4/17-18-19/08 run, too!

Don’t forget the 4/20 set in DC brah. I bailed on that run last minute but had plans to hit all those shows.

also bailed last minute on the DC show, because of the weather

no regrets

Without looking at the setlist I recall missing a Nemo and Glory if I’m not mistaken.
