This is such a great show. It was the 1st night of a 5 night run I did w/@dkrep, then also hit up 3-4 in Bloomington, IN making it 6 shows in 7 days. That was a very fun week for sure!
Love this one
CarpetCrawler:This was an amazing night, 18 years ago today. I will always take the opportunity to fluff this Jajunk, FF, Blue Echo & SF1…

[2] with Hold On Loosely (38 Special), Purple Haze (Jimi Hendrix), Sweet Child o’ Mine (Guns N’ Roses), and Smoke On the Water (Deep Purple) teases
[3] with Adam Budney freestylingSuper under-circulated show. FLACs are up on Orpheus, if anyone wants to check it out. One of my absolute favorite early versions of Jajunk. Really fun night & very small crowd.
Obligatory anniversary bump. Such a great night!!
19 year anniversary of this little hidden gem!!
CarpetCrawlerRegularI feel silly for not bumping this one over the past couple years, but 14 year anniversary bump to another killer Iowa show. The Des Moines show the night before this one overshadowed this at the time (for me at least), but this one has equally great segments throughout both sets.
The opening 40ish mins of Fir> ALB> Fir is a serious heater, and the Wally is stellar as well. The 2nd set has some gold as well, particularly the Crooked & jam out of LMS, but that 1st set is where it’s at, IMHO.
[February 28, 2008] The Capitol Theatre — Davenport, IA, USA
Set 1: Utopian Fir > Andy’s Last Beer, Utopian Fir > Passing, Uncle Wally, Kula
Set 2: Professor Wormbog, Morning Song, Mulche’s Odyssey, Last Man Swerving[1], Uncommon > Glory > Uncommon, Rocker Part 2 → The Crooked One[2]

Damn that first set
looks amaaaaaazing

Summary
Is it
Still a top 5 show seen for me. Midwest had just got hit with a bunch of snow and it was very cold.
Drove up from Champaign IL day of show.
Utopian has a 13-14m Stew capped by a big peak into ALB, after which there was a short ambient/noise jam into the 2nd half of Fir, which was followed by a surprisingly unique island/Calypso outro jam! Uncle Wally is probably the definitive version of the song, just an incredible JO. OG Kula was a cool, I kinda miss those vox.
Second set was not as great, but the LMS > JO > fake keyboard duel was hilarious. Probably one of the better Mulches I’ve seen, and Rocker 2 > Crooked is fire. Jake broke a string at the end of his solo and I think that’s the only reason they jammed it and it led to the grooviest peaking jam of the night.
One of the all time versions of Utopian Fir.
They really loved playing heaters in Iowa for awhile.
Love the song selection of this one, looks like a fun setlist.
Actually the last 3 shows you’ve posted look awesome.
One of my favorite Firs. Hell of a way to start a show.
CarpetCrawler:This was my first time in Boulder, and this show had some really great moments. The Eat is unreal. I sure wish there wasn’t some glitches in Eat on the UMlive recording, because it’s a very unique version. Had some of that ‘goo’ for this one, and felt like I could see the electrical energy connecting the drums & the mic stands near the front of the stage. It was really something. I wish I would have seen that ‘tootsie roll’ fun time style treat again, but that was the only time I’ve seen fungus concentrated & utilized in such a manner. The Blue Echo, Wally, Great American & AIT were all stellar. The Abacab was a huge treat for me as well.

16 year anniversary bump!
What a fun night!!
Both of these fox shows were so fun. Alex’s house debut the next night if I’m not mistaken?
CarpetCrawler:seem to care for it much at the time. Hard to believe it was 15 years ago. Seems so much more recent. We had 2nd row right in front of BB. The 1st set has really great flow, and ends with a bang in a great OoO> Fussy, Triple Wide, followed by the still new Morning Song. The 2nd set has a great Jajunk & August, although neither are super long. The Sociable had a jam of what I believe are the 1st hints at Intentions Clear.
03.10.2006 THE CHICAGO THEATRE, CHICAGO, IL, USA

with Stairway to Heaven (Led Zeppelin) tease after The Triple Wide17 year anniversary bump!
Super solid, unique show!
Going to listen to the Sociable Jimmy at some point today. I love it so, so much.
Most memorable part of the show for me when BB starts teasing Intentions Clear prior to SIN being released and grins and wags his finger at the crowd when everyone started cheering.
5 year shoutout to a fun show on this day in 2018. Weeknight in Missoula and the crowd brought a lot of energy that the band absolutely loved (they mentioned needing to get a MT timeshare or something).
Also love that Bayliss changes the Remind Me lyrics to roast a woman in the front row who was on her phone during the encore.
I dug syncho > end of first set.& the dbk was great too

I was right behind said woman; we were probably next to each other the whole show!
CarpetCrawler:This was a super fun show. It was pretty cool seeing my friend Chris pop up on stage for Lenny. We were standing by each other earlier in the set, but he wandered off when I went for a beer. He didn’t mention that he was gonna sit in for a tune. I got a pretty good chuckle out of that.

Yesterday was super hectic & I spaced bumping this little gem. Fun times for sure!
20 year anniversary bump!!
CarpetCrawler:It’s hard to follow up such a great story as the BDJ one, but I can’t hold back the chance to bring up my 1st two-night UM ‘run’.
This show was f’n excellent, and I could’ve been happy by this one alone. I had no idea what was about to happen the next night, and will post that one tomorrow. For now though, here’s the wonderful 3-22-02 show…
