10 years ago UM played their best RRX show ever.
Eh, night 1 2016 is better. But this show definitely deserves to be well-remembered.
2012 is definitely better than 2016
Big time
That Canopy show was a lot of fun, second set really ripped.
15 year anniversary bump!!
Fun show. That was my first time at the Taft. Great American stew was beautiful as fuck.
Officially now been 20 years. Bittersweet for sure. Both of these shows are f’n stellar. Some really great memories from each of them!

14 years ago one of the s and the start to an amazing 10 shows in 10 days. Definitely some heat from all the shows but this one was the best.

CarpetCrawler:With all the great shows that happened over the years at the Rave/Eagles, there are shows that get swept under the carpet & essentially forgotten about. This is def one of those shows, but it had some great stretches throughout both sets. I remember really enjoying the 1st set that night.

Can’t believe this one was 18 years ago. Really fun night!
CarpetCrawler:This show was a ton of fun. I still to this day feel a little guilty that nobody took our money at the door, and it was a benefit show. I was younger & didn’t wanna spend an extra $15 or whatever at the time, so I didn’t say shit.

with Woody Woodpecker theme (George Tibbles and Ramey Idriss) tease after Smell the MittenReally solid show. Very odd feel inside what seemed like a big lecture hall, but very good set list & well played versions of Haunt, The Stranger, Roullette & Example 1 in the 1st set. Set break was super short, and we were walking back in from a quick trip to the car right as Divisions was starting. Also, I absolutely love Raymond & welcome any chance to see that one! Set 2 & encore were a ton of fun.
I had been through the beginnings of my cancer battle just 5 months before this one, and when the mid part of Syncopated came w/that low vibration part, Jake made a comment of that sound being a cure for cancer. I still wasn’t feeling back to 100%, and the few shows I saw that fall were such a great feeling. That Synco moment was odd, but gave me a good chuckle.
Another hidden gem, 18 years ago today.
Anniversary bump!

Opening Band(s): This Must Be the Band
10 years ago today. I still really regret missing this show, especially since the following night was lackluster. I love listening to the first set especially on tape though!
I have an old Polaroid of me and my best friend at that show in mashup costumes. I gotta try and find it
Marty Mc”Fly”
Doc Charlie Brown
What a fun fucking weekend that introduced us all to the greatness that is the Riverside Theater. I remember being in awe with how easy it was to rip joints on the balcony that first night.
This must be the band was a super solid opener as well.
Edit
What a fun fucking weekend that introduced us all to the greatness that is the Riverside ~Theater~
People can say what they will about Wisconsin and MKE, but we’re very fortunate to have the Pabst Group venues in our city. Riverside Theater, Pabst Theater, Turner Hall Ballroom…all amazing places for shows. Back Room at Collectivo & Miller High Life Theatre are great as well.
Should have known better then to make a dumb mistake like that. After all it is probably my favorite indoor venue in the country.
Totally agree Milwaukee is always a good time music or not.
