Great story. This is one of maybe a handful of Umphrey’s shows I have missed within two hours of where I presently was at the time in my life. I had a ride to the show from East Lansing and it still bothers me to this day I missed that N2F>Divisions>N2F>Divisions segment. You definitely will regret the times you didn’t GITV more than the times you did IMO haha.
Luckily a year later I found myself at this show:
August 31, 2008 Umphrey’s McGee Red Rocks Amphitheatre — Morrison , CO , USA
Set 1: Search 4 , Wappy Sprayberry > Higgins , The Bottom Half > Glory > The Bottom Half , Divisions > Pipeline > Resolution [1] > Divisions > JaJunk
Footnotes :
[1] with Norwegian Wood (The Beatles) jam
First time at Red Rocks and a pretty fun opening set to the Gov’t Mule show later that evening. Bayliss sat in during their rendition of Dear Prudence. Good times in Colorado. The acoustic set in Boulder the next night is phenomenal btw.

These shows were so damn fun, 16 year ago today & tomorrow. I’m so grateful that I got to see them play that place a few times. I’ll always remember my shock at the fact that UM was playing that spot the first time I was there in ‘02. That was such a fun venue, but they’ve obviously outgrown it by too much to ever go back.

My second show! Was really bummed to miss night two but I wasn’t 18 at the time… Still haven’t caught an Orfeo. Really fun venue indeed.

These were a ton of fun. Miss the skyline
With all the great Barrymore shows, on top of all the great shows that have happened in September, this one gets lost in the shuffle, but this was a very solid show for sure…17 years ago tonight. This was my only time getting to see 10th Grade, and was the last time it’s been played.

I will shamelessly bump this show each & every year on this date. What a killer night. I can’t believe this was 15 year ago. What an unbelievable Jajunk & Fancy. Straight fire for both sets.

My 100th show & an amazing way to kick off a really great 3 night run. This was overall the best of the 3 shows, IMO, but the Canopy Club the next night had some serious next level moments.
Obligatory anniversary bump.

This Kat’s> Ringo> BLBC> Ringo & Nemo are seriously amazing segments. The darkness of the majority of set 2, with that Nemo jam in the middle, was quite the head fuck. Abacab to start the set off was so perfect.
Accidentally went a little deeper than I had expected that night, but it was perfect.
Really great show that night!
Yet another yearly bump! What a couple nights, between Madison the previous night followed by this gem.
