Loving this Antelope
same was just saying I tend to get sick of these closing 3.0 sets but DAMN this one is HOT and I do still love it
I will always get down to an Antelope, but definitely know what you mean. Gotta love Trey just deciding to say fuck the rest of the band there and keep peaking his solo after they first tried to shift to the breakdown
yeah one of those songs where I groan when it starts up in a closing spot but then 10 seconds later i’m all for it
It is prime time for some high fives and homie hugs before dashing your way to the beer line or bathroom before the rest of the crowd. I love when it randomly pops up to open set two, or in the encore spot
I will say that Antelope these days never has quite the same impact as it once did for me, but I still love it as a set closer.
Split might be my favorite set closer, especially if it gets extra weird.
phish 3.0 might as well be a different band from what’s being shown tonight. it’s apples and socks.
Overall I would agree, but honestly, I can think of plenty of 3.0 that was just as good, or better than the majoirty of that 1st set. That said, the band is alll like 29-30 here. Big difference from being in your mid-to-late 50s
This second set is so yammy
They really need to give Bowie its balls back one of these days
+1
Me in my living room right now
I love when Phish makes me feel violated like this
Always love Mango
This is not a challenge or an angry comment but aside from the cream of 3.0 I can’t think of a first set like that. And this was just one night of tour and not even the best night.
Chased this song for a while.
Oh, for sure. I definitely agree. Yea, this show was never on my radar and I thought I had listened to pretty much everything from 95. So that just goes to show how good they were back then. Even the “forgettable” shows were heaters
What an interesting little strech for the scene. Like two weeks after this show, the infamous Deer Creek GD gate crasher incident happened, Jerry wrote that letter to the fans, played a couple more shows, went to rehab and ultimately died like a month later. Phish was “big” here, but feel like their world and fanbase just got turned upside down just a few months after this.
