Would be awesome if that was the Dinner and a Movie pick for next week.
Fuck yes!! We had super good pavilion for this show. Really, alpine ‘96-‘00 we had killer seats. We used to go to the Ticketmaster outlets that were at the Piggly Wiggly stores in Hartland or the one on the south side Latino neighborhood of MKE. Those were some great days of ticket buying. If you put in the effort, you could get dank seats every year.
Looking forward to hearing this one!
Especially in 2004. 2003, for the most part, was very, very solid except for a small handful of shows. Feb '03 is one of the best months of their career, IMO. Especially the 2 Vegas shows and the 2.20 Rosemont gig.
2/20/03 was my first show. I love 2003 Phish in general. 2004 is pretty rough, but the highs are pretty high. Was actually just listening to this earlier today.
That alpine show was great. I thought that was going to be my last find memory of Phish, after the Coventry disaster. I had some good memories of Coventry, but as a whole it was a nightmare.
Glad they have returned. I’ve only seen 14 shows since the comeback, but a couple have been good enough to bring that feeling back.
I fucking love Phish. I was pretty grizzled for quite some time after they returned, because while they were playing relatively tight on a consistent basis, I just wasn’t getting that old familiar feeling when leaving the show anymore. The feeling that I was onto something so special.
It was partially their playing & not taking big chances, but I’m sure it was also the minor shift in my musical preferences. I was older. They were older. While it was a breath of fresh air, it wasn’t quite what I had fallen in love with so many years ago. I’ve grown to accept what it is now, and that the chance of seeing that monster show is far less likely when I only choose a 1-3 shows each year to attend.
There is nothing like being at a Phish show. Can’t wait until my next.
Super bummed that this Covid crap killed the summer tour. Atlantic City bachelor party was gonna be amazing.
this stream is already giving me all the feels and we’re just getting started
For sure. I used to listen to these tapes a lot. I gave all my tapes away years ago, but have never replaced this show in digital format. This is very cool to see right now.
It’s been at least 15 years, probably more like 20, since I’ve heard this one.
ah I was lucky to have gotten a PYITE at the Dunk the past November. I cherish it every time
I love Phish again
phish > god
beyond burgers > Phish
This Reba is HOSE
Was referring to this show, not PYITE. The way I worded it didn’t make it very clear.
I peaked hard as fuck. Jam was short but that solo was monstrous.
Strange Design after a glorious Reba would have me feeling all the feels
Trey just leaving Page out to dry there for a minute
Let’s antelope
Always been one of my favorite set closers.
The Antelope in Madison ‘95, on a headful, helped to solidify my passion for Phish & the direction the next 10 years of my life would take. It was not set closer, just a profound life moment.
