My first night at my first summer camp (2015) I thought it was going to be way quicker to walk the direct line from the camping stage, through the middle of the woods camping (off the path), to where we were in VIP camping. The path around is way longer. Pythagoras is my homeboy. Bad idea. Felt like hours of tripping over tent stakes in the dark. I remember army crawling for a WHILE. Don’t remember getting back to my tent. Remember being really impressed with myself when I woke up in my tent the next morning.
Little did I know, I had met my now “wife” that night. Literally, I didn’t know that I met her. She called me out by name on Friday afternoon and I didn’t even try to play it off like I remembered dancing with her the night before. Luckily she’s cool as shit and let that slide.
