Snuck into a couple scamps back in the day, I would just walk through the VIP gate or just hop over the 4’ plastic “fence”. Easiest festival of all time to sneak into.

I’ve snuck in as well one year. It was easy, my “wife” and her friends showed up Thursday and I showed up Friday. She just brought someone else’s wrist band out to me and I walked right in.
This was the year after all my shit got stolen by someone cutting a hole in the side of my tent like Zorro. I felt like Goldberg owed me one for free.

Of course I want to go, but i can’t pretend that I’m not a giant wuss about getting caught, or going to somewhere with 10K people by myself. Having lived so close and never have gone is definitely a regret that I’ll have.

the amount of cut and ravaged tents I saw after the Bassnectar set was absolutely heartbreaking.
same year my buddy sold some strips and then accidentally walked away from his tupperware bin filled with a dozen sheets, realized about 5 minutes after the fact but it was too late.

Yeah I camped in the woods and the first day I got so spun it took me 2 hours to find my campsite at like 3AM to sit down for the first time in 12hrs. So many campsites I walked in thinking it was my tent. Finally found it and passed out with my feet sticking out of my tent. Woke up at like 11AM and everyone near me was thanking god a dead guy wasn’t next to their campsite.

It’s great because that’s all you needed, once you were in you were in, no worrying about sneaking into the festival grounds every night (yes I also snuck into a lot of other festivals).

That’s probably the best part about this festival. Camping and stage areas are all the same. No extra check points once in.

2015 we had a massive camp in the forest. We hung a massive banana above our site and had a light pointed at it. After Primus we walked through the forest looking for our site, repeatedly finding this banana and saying “no, we’re caaping underneath the other banana”
2012 my buddy passed out face down in his tent, feet sticking out, tent 80% collapsed. I know all about the “glad he’s not dead” feeling.

Yeah the hot as balls day UM set on Sunday I would just fill cooler with ice and water. Then throw cups of ice cold fatties on the crowd. It was a lot of fun. Crowd also appreciated it after 4 days of drug use and hot weather.
