This is what I was going to say. All my friends are old and we saw umphreys tons of times already. I’m not friends with any people in their early 20’s who are getting into jambands so I have no idea what these kids are doing.

but really i meet new fans at pretty much every show. in athens there was a guy seeing his first show and he asked me the name of every song in the first set, was wholesome

Sorta… a woman says she likes Maybe Someday and I think she and her “wife” willingly put UM on when I am around, and it’s not fully for me.
I brought a partner to her first UM show in August and she’s at 8 shows now

This was me at WSP on saturday.
Once this dude behind me realized i didnt know most of the songs he just instantly started telling me as soon as the next song started.
He was a cool dude. Bought him some beers for helping an oblivious drug band fan.

that would be so much fun. they could also do the sts9 thing and do like 1 night at a smaller venue like summit, 1 night at red rocks, 1 night at levitt.

I am not familiar with Levitt.
Was in CO in 2018 visitring and randomly noticed Lotus was at RRx. They ended up having a Summit show, too.
Place was a sweatbox but seemed ok otherwise.

Old fans see less shows because families, jaded, etc. Goose is devouring all of the younger jam fans.
