Rockjavik: A 3 night run in Iceland

I’ll be making the trip solo. Can’t wait.

I hopped on an Airbnb about a block from the Harpa, let’s drink about it

We have Row 6, Seats 5-6 (I believe Jake side) and would probably be down to swap for a set. Not sure if that’s specifically the area you’re looking for, but we’re definitely interested in seeing this incredible venue from a different perspective.

That sounds perfect, actually.

Given the amount of tickets available on CoT I’m guessing we’ll have plenty of room to move around.

I’ll be in row 20 near the sound board but would also be up to swap seats for a set or 2.

Should’ve figured wooks were gonna buy tickets and then dropout.

Oh well, SE Asia was pretty rad.

Let’s stay in touch and make this happen. Shoot me a PM some time.

For late nights looks like they switched tauking mcgee to Sat & prince dj to Sun

Was thinking of doing star kitchen but now not sure what would be more fun, SK or Tauking

Tickets are already for sale FYI, just snagged a few for Tauking McGee. Came out to $152 for 3 tickets including fees

We just grabbed tickets to Jen Hartswick and the Cherub deal at my girlfriend’s request. I couldn’t really argue with that.

I get this is a custy run and in Iceland but I can’t imagine paying that much for a late night.

Sometimes you gotta say fuck it. The venue looks like a pretty cool spot too that was part of the justification for me.

Every time I buy a late night before the door i always end up not making it. Seriously forgot about the ticket I bought for the late night with Joel during the NYE run and stayed up till 4am anyway lol. Realized at like 2:30 lol.

My biggest issue with the late night gigs is not the cost (though that is a little high), but the chance that I might miss a chance to see the northern lights.

Anybody end up scoring any late-night tickets?

@jwelsh8 - are you able to share info on how the late-nights are selling (assuming you even have access to the info)? Interested in a couple of the late-nights, but not sure I want to pull the trigger just yet. And it looks like at least one (Tauking McGee) has sold out.

Finally booked hotels for the rest of our trip. Flying out Monday, landing early Tuesday before the shows. Tues-Thurs we’re doing a road trip along the south coast, making it as far as Jokulsarlon, then backtracking. We’ll hit a bit of the golden circle Tuesday morning on the way out, and see the rest of it Friday on our way into Reykjavik.

Fri-Sun in Reykjavik for the shows. Might tack on a whale-watching tour - TBD. No plans yet for these days except to enjoy Reykjavik, or hit parts of the Golden Circle we missed if weather was bad. Maybe blow a bunch of money at Blue Lagoon.

Monday morning we’ll head up to Snaefellsnes Peninsula for a long day trip, staying up there for the night. Tuesday morning - drive back to KEF for our evening flight home.

Hopefully weather cooperates and allows us to squeeze all of that in.

Tauking McGee has. The rest are selling around 50% so far.
