Rockjavik: A 3 night run in Iceland

I think so, this is what we’re going to do. Also going to put it in my checked bag, not carry on. Not really too worried about it.

I just brought it in my carry on backpack in the same pocket as some pens. Honestly wasn’t even trying to hide. Just forgot it there.

And you’re not gonna miss the whole trip…unless all you’re bringing in your bag is chronic.

If you do get caught, and you won’t…they’ll just confiscate your pot.

Yeah I usually fly with just about everything it’s very easy to hide personal stuff. Plus this just in TSA never looking for drugs. Since you’re American crossing a boarder they also just let you walk into the country no problem. I’ve had longer queue/pain in my ass custom people coming back into the US.

Also correct. TSA has admitted they don’t look for drugs and only report you if you’re an extreme dumbass trying to smuggle some serious volume. They’re looking for explosives and weapons. They don’t care about recreational volumes of drugs.

Just avoid Icelandic pots though, god I made the mistake of smoking a J with some locals there last year. Super nice people but god damn did that dirt weed give me a headache and pretty much made me sick the rest of the night.

I’m also the dumbass that forgot my own pen at my hostel so it was 100% my fault.

I never worry about pens or edibles or anything with TSA. Any reason to worry about pens flying OUT of Iceland though, given how strict they are?

They’re not gonna care

Yeah they won’t care. Security is more lax than the States.

Anyone getting a little nervous about potential travel restrictions if the coronavirus keeps spreading?

Not really. I would be if it were in Asia, but Iceland seems like quite a jump. Plus, Iceland is always one of the hardest countries to infect in Plague, Inc.

Good to hear. One of the nice advantages to being an island up in the middle of nowhere.

Are travel restrictions outside of hotspots a thing?

You guys see this shirt? It’s incredible. Official merch, too.

My Mom texted me the other night asking the same question.

Man I hope not. This would be my second failed international travel in a row. In 2015 I was supposed to go to Nepal for a study abroad in college and that earthquake hit literally 2 weeks before we were supposed to go.
