Everything about him pisses me off, so I guess I’m seeing it through that lense tbf lol
KB doesn’t book the tours FYI. Lot of logistics go into routing a tour but theres definitely been some wild routing over the years.
Who does?
Of course there’s a guy named Pinkus.

Lol my first thought
One of my thoughts on this, was the incorrect use of apart vs a part.
Apart - (of two or more people or things) separated by a distance; at a specified distance from each other in time or space.
Joel has been (a) part of the band for all the time the person alluded to, and more, but he’s not apart.

Pretty interesting to see Collectiv Presents as a part of these shows. I know they typically only do electronic events
Is tonight gonna be a regular type of show or are they just gonna play the album?
I imagine that Out of focus, den, and concessions all get played. The it’s not us release party had a few from that record but it was a mix of old new and covers like a regular show.
So is tonight like a real show? Or are they just streaming the album
Live stream of album>actual show>q and A sesh
Also, Joel crushes this in the flesh haaaard vocally. I’ve heard him do some not great ones. Theatrical, some good yell screaming and of course the end peak
I don’t have nugs so haven’t really listened to any recent shows with the new sound engineer, but reviews here on the mix has been absolutely damning.
The band isn’t stupid. They’ve been a touring group for over 25 years and know they rely on their live experience being shared as widely as possible.
There has to be more to this story, right? It would seriously be career suicide to not provide well-mixed live music when you rely heavily on ticket sales? Does some decision maker think they are well-mixed? Is there something happening between the band and nugs?
I’m earnestly asking, it’s been very curious to see these reviews being so consistent for months. Joel even petitioned people for feedback, so it’s not as if the UM brand is closing off from criticism.
I doubt there’s anything in particular going on. Some bands/engineers can deliver great sounding raw SBDs, but it’s dependent on how you mix and what kind of changes you make on a nightly basis. He could be making the rooms sound incredible every night, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to recordings.
I honestly don’t think anyone listens to the sbds besides Joel
I still wonder if it’s changes to the equipment. I mean… Jake has new toys, pretty sure i read Joel and Pony do too, and they have a new drummer with an entirely different kit.
Yeah, but boards haven’t sounded great since Chris left
