Joel seems like a good guy by all accounts, and is a founding member of the band, but if there’s any truth to this, they just got rid of the most talented band member in favor of the least talented one. I mean, I get it, and realize it’s more nuanced than any of us know for sure, but that couldn’t have been too easy a decision considering the resulting effect on their sound and quality of music/improv.

Some comments have recently brought to my attention so I would like to make just one short statement to bring an end to the speculation and misinformation. I’ve been reading some of them, and it is heartbreaking to hear that some of you believe that I am responsible for the rift that has been caused between myself and my former bandmates. And if gooning all night at after parties that I was enthusiastically invited to has offended anyone, that is in fact what it was intended to do. I will state unequivocally, however, that it has no connection to why I am no longer in Umphrey’s McGee. However I will not be told how to live.

I am just thankful i was here to see the laptop stories
One of my favorite Kris memories was my buddies ex-trainwreck was ripping gaggers and making out with him on the stairs at the Moonrise Hotel. Buddy sees and breaks up with her. She thought Kris wanted to date her. She was wrong. We all laughed. Buddies life was saved
