RC for Nashville Brooklyn Bowl next week ?!
I’m getting pretty stoked, especially after Joel teased a special guest for Saturday’s show. I know the Nashville Bort collective will be present CC @ian @nsl
Oktoberfest will be going on At Bicentennial Park directly next door to the venue. I’ll be there Friday pre show putting on a clinic
Looks like this is the first time they’ve played Nashville not at the Ryman in close to 15 years

I do wonder how many non-Phish/Goose/DMB/Billy Strings adjacent bands will be able to tour next year. The profit (lol) margin already seems minuscule, I don’t think any bands still going town to town in buses will genuinely be able to swing it with the current trajectory.

My dread since 2020 is that live music will all but collapse at some point due to macro economic factors

Maybe they can do what tGD sorta did for years, and get themselves a place to do a few local residency slots and tour here and there. I’m SHRN, and I’m sure there’s a million holes that can be poked into my idea but it’s a little depressing to imagine a future with limited live music.

There’s always Grassroots efforts to keep the scene alive&let it thrive. If the scene is made aware of financial issues I believe the sum of the whole can&will pull together to save the scene. This whole thing started from word of mouth in a sense so we can in theory save it with that same spirit. Throw free shows and just put out a tip jar as communal fundraisers. Idk, get creative for an issue funding creativity takes innovation and there are enough engineers & marketing folks around that we can spread the good word of 3rd tier jambands with some crowdsourcing. Some of us have pull in the real world and can put that to good use
