I use both.
Which is also the problem with that NYT quiz, a lot of those I use more than one of the answers. Fwiw it had me pegged as a Bible belt southerner/Philly resident.

Weird. Lived in St. Paul, MN until 7, North Chicago suburbs from 7-18, and Minneapolis, MN from 18 and onward (and upward). But apparently I talk like a Mormon.

Bogey would be my slang for that. I remember when I was naive I couldn’t hear the difference between loosey and Lucy and was very confused by why people were up all night from one cigarette.

Mine is pretty far off. It just got generally west which is accurate but norcal? San Diego and Tucson are where I spent all my time.
