It is famously easy to write a great song.
Ah. I was thinking you meant a new single, not a song from the new album.
Save the World has grown on me a little but he comes off as overly paranoid and anxious.
Not a big fan of Death Wish either.
Pretty brutal thing to say about an artist who has very publicly recovered from alcoholism and became sober.
Summary
But yeah I agree
what about my battles with alcholism? no sympathy for me because I haven’t won a bunch of Americana grammy’s?
Guess Save the World is a great example of me not having any idea what lyrics mean. One of my favorites off the new record but I had absolutely no idea that’s what it’s about
Why not just go on MSNBC’s Morning Joe program?
really? I had the benefit of listening after I knew but it seems right there for ya.
It seemed to most obvious to me.
I haven’t completely figured out Miles but suspect it’s about being apart from someone
Pretty sure I’ve talked about this before, but I don’t hear words/meaning in lyrics unless I sit down and read them. It’s just gibberish set to a melody
gotchya. my best friend is the exact same way.
That’s typical for a cold and unfeeling machine such as yourself
Hope you and your mom are having a good time
She had a blast, and they played If We Were Vampires, which was the one she wanted to hear.
I may have had a few moments during this show, he knows how to pull the heart strings.

Isbell totally made fun of the people that spent the entire night taking video of the entire songs. He said he understands that people want to take a picture or two but recording a whole song is ridiculous when you should be living in the moment. Of course he was pretty funny saying this. He later went on to refer to one of these people as Steven Spielberg. He doesn’t miss a beat.
I really enjoyed this show far more than I expected, his new material has really grown on me.
