I’m really confused as to why this was undersold
Announced a month before the dates and Goose stole the torch. Both bands had tickets for $50-75 per person in two and four pods if I recall correctly. Crazy that the Geese can flock to Gun Wavin’ New Haven but the 'Phreaks can’t come out at night. JRAD sold out six nights. Biscuits sold out two nights as well. Pretty disappointed they can’t draw enough people from the city up here to sell 2,000 tickets. But I think those who made it will be happy they did. \mm/
That Voyager jam is cash money!
He should post about it
Goose is also a local CT band but torch = pass’d either way
The Mulche’s is pretty awesome as welll!
I’d say like 2010-early 2016 UM is my specialty, after that I’m not as well versed though I still think they got progressively better. A jam I’ve been really digging lately is the 2016 Des Moines Haunt, I think it’s like 6/30/16 or some shit
2016 Des Moines show slaaaaayys
That show was kind of unique in that there were a ton of really good 3-5 minute jams. It was way better than that probably sounds
Haunt w/jam into fussy is like a perfect combo to me. But yeah, no real stand out huge jams.
@Albert_Ross bust out ITT
I’ll give this show a listen. Iowa UM is always great UM
9/19/12 Domino Theory is one of the best, pretty atypical, one of only 2 unfinished Domino Theories that I’m aware of
On a related note, I learned awhile ago what the Domino Theory is. It was the concept during the cold war that if one country became communist then the countries around it will also become communist, in a domino effect, which was used to justify a lot of western interventions in third world countries as part of the ideological war against communism
2/9/11 Soup
3/20/14 All in TIme - this jam is not super long but it’s just so weird spooky and funky it’s just brilliant.
2014 gets so much hate but there are so many good jams from that year.
Thanks for ‘16 Des Moines rec @Albert_Ross !
That was a nice show!
oh that’s pretty much my go-to AIT. Love that riff Stasik starts with that keeps developing until Jake comes in with it heavy towards the end
I highly recommend listening to Des Moines 2015.
Oh I bought that one back in ‘15. Great show!
Every member of the band is firing on all cylinders in that jam which is so great to hear. Nobody really taking over but the funky syncopated Jake groove interlocking w/ Bayliss’ grungy licks, the spooky keys hanging over the entire thing. Great show, that Synco, Padgett’s, and Kitchen > Twilight Zone (why did this cover get shelved, it’s so good?) > Kitchen are all top notch versions.
