Not much to say about Jerry’s last show that hasn’t been said, but I’m just so very grateful to have been there. I wish I could’ve been old enough to hit some earlier era shows, but I’ll take what I was able to see & be happy with it.

The world is a much better place with the musical legacy the Dead/Jerry left for us.

planning on skipping seastones. don’t @ me

potential sheep question - optimal number of beats leading into BIDTL

so, between songs… amongst the crowd noise are yells of “hey, sit down!”

One of the shows I’ve listened to the most. My friend Bill Baker (RIP) gave me a copy years ago. I’d only ever listened to official releases before that. He told me more than once that anytime I see an early second set WRS in '74 that I should listen. I’ve never put that to the test but I sure loved this show.

Bobby fans will love this show, he is out front and dominant in the mix. Really cool to hear since Bobby gets lost in other mixes a lot of the time. The China>Rider will shut up any Bobby hater. It’s a very early post-pigpen show, you can see how they transitioned nicely into '73.

Deal, Mexicali Blues, Sugaree, Black Throated Wind, China Cat Sunflower-> I Know You Rider, El Paso, Bird Song, Big River, Loser, Playin’ In The Band, Casey Jones Greatest Story Ever Told, He’s Gone, Me & My Uncle, Brokedown Palace, Truckin’-> The Other One, Sing Me Back Home, Sugar Magnolia, Mississippi Half Step, Uncle John’s Band, E: One More Saturday Night

2/18/71 is up on Spotify. Digging it so far.

Released commercially as Dick’s Picks Vol 24, 03/23/74 at the Cow Palace was the first dead live show I ever listened to. I bought the two disc CD from a borders, as it was the only dead show there. I wore it out in my truck for years. You could argue this was the dead show that set the hook, but it took a while to reel me in fully, as my ADD and hyper critical nature caused me put up a bit of a fight
