Couch Tour Thread

If the demand is there and people are willing to pay, might as well charge the extra dough. Especially during a year where 70% of the shows have been canceled.

Yeah I get pissed when people can’t accept facts and argue out of their feelings instead. And I’ve acknowledged some streams were $10. But likewise, some streams were as much as they cost earlier this year. This all goes back to a claim that streams were “consistently going up” which is just not true

that “wull if theyre gonna pay it, then charge it” mindset is such bullshit though

I have no interest in this stream but I would pay if KB promised to stop writing the press releases

theres a REAL vip option right there ^^

Why? It’s not like they’re holding a gun to your head and making you pay it. There is a ton of free content if you don’t want to pay for it either. It’s $15 and you’ll likely be watching these streams with other people. It literally breaks down to a few bones a person

First TG streams I ever bought:

I also would be willing to bet if they charged $9.99 for this event, with a tip jar for the crew, they would make more money than they will from charing $15.

100 times over. So much cringe. It’s like he is constantly trying to write for greek week.

Just wait until the next round of stimulus checks are announced. KB is gonna go hard on you folks then

The tip jar argument might have some merit. I mean when Radiohead released In Rainbows it was “name your price”. Pretty sure people were extra generous and they made more than selling it at normal price. But that was also not released during a global crisis, tough to gauge.

If they actually do end up doing these warehouse shows, I am guessing they charge $30, at least.

Kinda like how a certain drug band gave their “practice” and main event out for free and raised 75k for charity? Money does indeed seem to fall from the sky…

no theyre not holding a gun to my head but its my favorite band that obviously im gonna pay for and it really irks me to think of them having a mindset of “we could do 4.99… oooorrrrrrr we could do 14.99 cuz we know those fuckers will lap it up anyway

not saying this was the case with them exactly though, im just arguing against the “if theyll pay it, then charge it” mindset

I really dont give a shit either way. Ill still pay and watch and enjoy.

but 14.99 for two acoustic members sucks. /thread

lol, am I wrong?

Still cheaper than a beer at a LA Dodgers game

Yep, spend some money marketng the event, make it free, add tip option, and they would make way more than they will with this. That said, I am not saying this should be free, just saying the price for what you are getting does not add up.

I’ve always been curious about how many people actually pay for a tourgigs show.
