Best Venue The Band Plays / Played

Greenfield Lake in Wilmington
Tennessee Theater in Knoxville

Really? You have to be one of the few that actually likes that wings place in MI. I Thought it was a terrible place to see a show and the logistics out of that venue for ride share was a shit show last time I was there.

Yeah by far one of the worst ā€œvenuesā€ I’ve ever been to. Standing on that plywood all night fucking sucked.

We stayed at a hotel 100 yards away so that’s totally why we had different experiences with the venue. It’s by no means one of my favorite venues but I didn’t hate it either.

Favorite i’ve seen them in:

Tabernacle (always my fav)
Riverside
St Augustine Amphitheater
Greenfield Lake Amphitheater
Tennessee Theater

I have never understood the love for the Tabernacle. It’s pretty, sure, but other than that I kinda hate it. Expensive beer, going down all those stairs to use the bathroom, always been super oversold when I have seen UM there. Meh.

I agree. The tab isn’t my fav

Agreed. They play well there, but I don’t like it as a venue. Gotta get there 45 hours early to get a balc spot, floor gets crazy packed, shitty restroom layout

I really miss the Barrymore. My second show and first non festy UM show was there. Plenty of space, relaxed staff, heady beer, and a commodious handicapped bathroom for puffing.

Yea, I have really good memories from The Barrymore

Is that the rotating one?

lolol we call ā€œthe free drinks hotelā€ because everytime we go to show in Portland we stay there mainly because of the essentially open bar pregame. Also the hotel itself is solid, even if it is a lil ways out of the downtown

My cousin got married at an embassy suites and I caught a decent buzz with my uncles before the wedding. Made the whole experience more enjoyable.

My favorite part about the Des Moines Embassy Suites is the squares staying there that have no idea what’s going on.

WI venues >>> over any other states venues

Aud Theater
Red Rocks
Kettlehouse
the Wilma
Fox Oakland

Honorable mention for the McDonald Theater in Eugene. They can’t do full production there but the staff is always super chill and the place is easy to maneuver.

It sure is. That was the show that kick started my UM obsession. Honestly don’t remember that much about the venue besides the fact that there were only 25 rows back in every direction, so all the sightlines were amazing, and it was an overall unique experience.

For the most part yes. The cop situation at Alpine sucks ass though.

Sucks that they only played there once. Great show though.

Yea, I am not really a fan of Alpine. I have seen some awesome Phish shows there, but it is just an all around pain in the ass logistically.
