Can someone point me to a better 3 song segment in 2019 than the Cut Off > Eat > Linear from 8/30? 3 songs back to back with above average improv. This is definitely my favorite segment of UM from last year.

7/3 is closer to what I’m looking for than 3/1. If they didn’t squeeze that 2nd Self in there, it would be in contention, but I still prefer the jams in 8/30.
I’m looking for 3 songs back to back to back with improv from 2019. 3/29 EG > IDM > Plunger would be in the conversation if EG had a jam.
10/18 Looks > FF > Conduit > N2F is probably not as good as the 8/30 segment but the FF jam is better than anything from 8/30. Looks is great and a beautiful N2F reprise jam in this one.
The 8/30 segment is great, and I love that w/ Ride on Pony & Hangover the overall segment is like 50+ mins.
I would probably rather listen to 8/29 AIT > 13 Days, Red Tape, Wappy > Alex’s House though if we are talking segments. Yeah it’s not all improv but 13 Days & Alex’s House! Damn that’s a killer 2nd set
The 1/25 Gonna be a Long Night > AIT > Spires > Night Nurse > Kitchen is another good one. There is just the briefest pause between the Spires outro and Night Nurse that works so well and the entire segment is really focused on deep textured grooves as opposed to big peaks.

While I do love that 8/29 segment a lot, 8/30 just hits me in the right spot.
so good. i realize we’re talking segments, but i keep going back for more of that one.
Probably not up there with best of the year, but off hand I recall 11/9 had JaJunk, Remind Me, and Higgins in a row with each having a jam

If you want to highlight the pure weirdness of 2019, check out 4/4 Mantis. Definitely Jake-heavy and for some reason gives me some weird, Unwound/Don Caballero vibes towards the end. Followed by a solid Smell the Kitten/Mitten jam. 4/4 is a smoking hot show.

Great jam. A few good RWs last year. Check out 10/23 if you haven’t yet. One of my fav jams of last year (attendance bias, as always). It definitely delivers though. Super weird UM

I ended up snagging 8.15 and 7.3 Anaheim. I almost, ALMOST pulled the trigger on 8.30, but upon reading how great of a metal dance show 7.3 is, I went for that instead.
Time to listen to some nice dark metallic UM for Father’s Day! 
Good choices but I wasn’t at those shows so IMO they suck
