So I packed my bags in Cincinnati and went “on tour” solo with the boys from Charlotte to Richmond. Was a bucket list thing I finally pulled the trigger on. Loved these guys since my first show in Cincinnati in 07. I know it’s cliche, but it really was life changing. I’m a 32yr old married DINK and it has been becoming harder and harder to find new and real meaningful connections as old friends have kids and go their own ways etc. etc. And was solo because wife caught jury duty on the 8th and then missed the connecting flight to Norfolk to try to salvage what was supposed to be a together trip.
But after this little journey of mine with my absolute favorite band, I know I can find the coolest fucking people at their shows. (Yeah there’s always assholes here and there, but 95% of the people I spoke with at set breaks n stuff were amazing, and made their corresponding cities feel so much more welcoming).
I took notes after every show and added to em I got to the next hotel so I’ll always be able to jog the growingly-less-reliable noggin.
Anyways, this band rules, ya’ll rule, it was an amazing experience. And if you saw Greg from Cincinnati and I didn’t get your contact info, please hit me up!

I’d love too! I’m not done touring yet, I still have tickets to all the Cleveland-Cinci dates, then that’s where I hop off the tour for a bit. I also have tix to the Bellwether in LA to both see an old friend out there and take him and his wife to their first UMs show. Exact same old friend situation for the UMBowl in Boston (UMBowl always seemed like it was a mecca of UMs fans, so I’ve always wanted go. Gonna be weird for my buddy and his wife’s first show eh? Or maybe it’s a good place to start?! I’ll report back on that for sure.)
If there’s any credit on the cards left, I’ll see about heading Northwest (at least directionally from me lol)

Also, is there a more appropriate place to maybe post a more detailed write up of my Charlotte-Richmond run? Might be a boring read for most, but idk some people like a little gonzo journalism type shit? It was just a huge growth experience for me filled with hella positivity, all provided by the badass mfin band we’re on this forum for.

Speaking of stories about ter, my last crack bender was three years ago and when i smoke crack i like to really go the distance. i checked into a hotel with two cases of beer, a bottle of tequila, a carton of cigarettes, a couple of lighters, about an ounce of crack, two pipes, a handful of porn mags and a bottle of baby oil.
i rolled my suitcase into the elevator. right as the door was closing i realized that i’d forgotten something and jumped through the door. i hurried back to the front desk.
“i dont want any phone calls. also, can you make sure that the porn is not blocked on the tv.?”
the girl at the front desk looked at me like i was creep. she was right.
up the elevator, down the hall and into my room. i rushed inside, set everything out on the table and selected the 24 hour all-you-can-eat porn. it came on in the middle of anal juggernauts 12. there is nothing like that first hit of crack. i wish i could feel like that forever.
so for more than 24 hours i smoked crack, watched porn and drank tequila. i selected the 24 hour porn buffet again. more crack. more baby oil. as i’m jacking off i hear what sounds like the bed squeaking in the room next to me so i get up to investigate and press my ear up against the wall. it IS the bed squeaking, and this couple is going to town. this is great. this is better than tv porn so i grab the tequila with my free hand.
this guy is really giving her the business. her moaning gets louder and faster. they keep going and keep going. she is getting just pounded and i’m really into it. moaning and squeaking. moaning and squeaking. this goes on for a while and i’m loving it. this guy is my hero. i can’t believe he is lasting this long. when they’re done i’m going to go next door and shake his hand.
after what seemed like 30 or 40 minutes they’re still going but i’m exhausted and sit down in the chair to rest. i notice that i’ve gotten baby oil all over the wall. the hotel is probably going to charge me for that. so as i’m catching my breath i notice that they’re starting to wind down in the next room. my breathing slows as they slow down and vice versa. suddenly i realize, there is no one having sex in the next room. the moaning was me. the squeaking was just my nose whistling.

Mid-draft right now. Got through the Raleigh show and had to pass out. Should be finished when I get off work this evening.
I understand the jade, and the 4night run I did completely melted all that bias and jade away.
And I had no clue this was a Biscuits board, I dead ass came here way back in 07 thinking it was an ums board, so I came back now thinking the same haha
