Yeah, for sure. I think some streaming services downsample based on available bandwidth, but makes sense if you’re specifically paying for hi-res that it wouldn’t do that

So yah I like the new ui but holy shit is it horribly optimized. Like 5min into a song my phone becomes crazy hot to the touch and I start to lose battery at a rate of 1% every 2-3min. Absolutely terrible. This was never an issue before. In less than 1 set of music I lost 30-40% battery. Legit unusable.

tbh I’m also kinda curious. I’ve still never listened to a note of Neighbor and hadn’t even heard of them until like 2 months ago. From the track times, they look like one of those newer “jam” bands that don’t actually jam

Actually maybe I need to take this back. Did a power cycle and now I’ve listened to about 20min and not had any heat issues and only lost 1% battery. It was definitely fucked up before but it could have been iOS doing something sloppy in the update.
