Anyone know how / how much nugs pays the artists?
I’ve been wondering that for a while. Asked a few people about a) how bands get onto the platform, and b) what sort of money was involved, and nobody really gave me a clear answer on either…

Seems par for the nugs course.
Strikes me as a difficult problem to predict. You have a set cost for the user, but the user varies their usage. I wonder what kinds of factors go into modeling artist payouts.
Number of users vary
Number of streams per user vary
Total possible streaming time doesn’t vary as long as you are limited to 1 concurrent stream per user
Seems like a hard business model and even more so for services with low numbers of users.
…and now I’m spending my time trying to figure out the right equation that I would use to pay artists if I had a streaming service.

are you unable to buy individual tracks anymore? was trying to grab a track from a show a few years back, but only lets you buy entire shows now. Definitely used to be able to buy individual tracks back in the day…
I know I’ve said this somewhere else, but I love seeing non jambands embracing a platform like nugs. Dawes has started putting up some great sounding tapes, both new and old
