Damn yall need to eat some drugs or something because The National>Tame Impala>Atoms for Peace at ACL 2013 was one of the best nights of music of my life.
Matt Berringer’s deep voice on a head full still gives me goosebumps thinking back on that night.
I really like WoD, especially their latest album. But agreed on The National. Never understood the love for them. Too each their own though

I like some of WoD’s studio work. Just didn’t translate live, with the mix, and their energy on stage was horrible.

I kinda felt the opposite. Can’t get into the studio stuff, but enjoyed the show. Kinda how I feel about the national too tbh

I imagine that could have a lot more to do with the latter two bands.

Keeping Stevie on my radar, still a ton of tickets available but he sounded damn good at the DNC for a 74 year old. Wednesday nights are a logistical nightmare for us with kids activities so #TWT
Party bus to Creed / Three Doors Down / Finger Eleven tomorrow
Buttrock night in WNY

Take the kids to the concert, problem solved

They would 100% appreciate that once they were old enough to realize they saw a legend. Who knows? They might even have fun

came to say this. In no world is taking kids to see Stevie Wonder a bad idea

School night but totally get it (plus the daughter may have cheer practice that she can’t miss)
I remember being super pumped when my parents took all of us to see Paul McCartney on a Wednesday when I was like 10 or 11. Family hooky is fun

Getting kicked off cheer team for missing practice isn’t fun.
Might take my son

she’d get kicked off for a single excused absence? Wild

Take your son. Stevie still sounds fantastic, he will 100% guaranteed have a killer band behind him, and your son will have a core memory seeing one of the biggest legends in all of music (bonus points for being a Michigan legend).

@flyfishmich We don’t care about whatever excuses you want to have to not take your daughter to see one of the most legendary musicians of the 20th century, do whatever you want

Yeah, I pretty much want her to realize she missed a legend due to her stupid cheer.
