I’m probably getting myself along with my hopes way too high for these shows. Hitting 6 shows in Jan/Feb was a blast followed by the sorrow having everything for the spring and summer canceled to then having these announced at seemingly the last minute has been a whirlwind.
I hope they are able to pick up where they left off from the end of 2019 and the beginning of this year.
It will be interesting. I feel like this is the biggest break the band has ever had. I have always felt like some time away would do them well. It is always nice to be able to clear your head and recharge. That said, most bands usually have some growing pains after an extended break. It is awesome they have the warm up webcast shows before.
You would think that the crowd and band would both be in very high spriits, though, after all the time off. There should be a lot of positive vibes to feed off of.
Exactly why I am glad they are playing those two streams before hand. If the Boondock shows are anything to go off of, I thought they sounded good/great although they haven’t played with each other for a while.

They really don’t take the 3-5 shows to warm up on tour like bands like the dead, phish, panic, etc. I can’t see much lag from them tbh. Plus as stated before, maybe some flubs will loosen things up a bit.
Nah they always come out hot…then run out of ideas. Def not the biscuits
QFT. They could use a little patience, Don’t need to vamp for 5 minutes before they launch like the Biscuits, but they don’t need to go zero to shred in 32 bars either.
Has anybody crunched the data on the average number of posts per Umphrey’s thread before someone mentions the Biscuits?
