Happy anniversary to one of the best one set UM shows I’ve ever seen!!!
I guess today is the 20th anniversary of Anchor Drops?
A friend who had camera access was able to get us some media passes that got us the ability to go through the fence where we could watch from the side of the stage at the 2010 show. While we didn’t watch from that vantage point too much, we def used the little private bathroom that was in that area every 30 mins or so….haha
First show, 17 years ago. Example 1 > Walletsworth > N2F is sick.
I’ve listened to this untzy Walletsworth probably hundreds of times.
I saw the album played live in 2015. Was tight
Was that a show in Chattanooga?
Yup. Def could have stretched the album out and done without triple wide and cut the cable to end but still cool
Surprised I hadn’t posted this one on the -bort before today, and it’s a day late, but this was a really great night!! Seeing Dweezil onstage playing Fir-> Muffin Man with UM was surreal. Some truly great jams in this one as well!!

20 years ago today….one of the biggest feelings of ‘what could’ve been’ I’ve ever felt. This one started so strong and the band was super fired up by Anchor Drops coming out, but the weather put it to rest real quick.
July 3, 2004 Umphrey’s McGee — Henry Maier Festival Park — Milwaukee, WI, USA

**Show Notes:**Piggly Wiggly Music Stage
the show was cut early due to lightning
with Anchor Drops tease after Utopian Fir
They definitely made up for it with that 2005 show the following year, but this one started off fiery enough where it had a chance to be in the “best show/year of Summerfest” chatter.
CarpetCrawler: CarpetCrawler:This show, 15 (now 16) years ago tonight, was smoking hot!! The only better better Summerfest UM show IMO would maybe be the ‘05 show, but they both shine pretty bright!!

This 1st set!!!
That 40 minute beginning to the 2nd set is no joke
My first summerfest um show
CarpetCrawler: CarpetCrawler:OK, so IMO, it’s either this show from 17 (now 18) years ago or that ‘07 show which holds the title for best UM show at Summerfest. That 7-5-2007 1st set is just such a f’n monster, but this show as a whole might be slightly more complete. Just great stuff scattered throughout both sets. Set 2 of ‘07 started so strong, but after the DBK/Kabump sandwich, it never quite carried that same momentum. It’s really a tough call, honestly…it’s probably more of how I’m feeling on any given day, in terms of where my allegiance lies on this.

[9] with Jamie Masefield on mandolin; with Soul Food II jam to close
Bump for the 19th anniversary of a very special Summerfest show!!
Have fluffed this show many times. Keller and Bayliss jamming into Trenchtown as the rest of UM takes the stage is a vibe.
Yeah, there’s legit not a single low spot in this entire show, IMHO. Robot World is an all timer. I miss OG Padgett’s so much.
Same
CarpetCrawler: CarpetCrawler:Obligatory yearly post, but this show can never get too much love. This will likely always remain in the top 10, if not top 5, of my 220+ UM shows I’ve attended.

16 (now 17) year anniversary bump!! Great show, top to bottom. The flow of the 1st set is just incredible, then set 2 has standout versions of HBB & FF as the centerpiece. Just such a great night!!
The first 2 songs really set the whole vibe. And as you said, that HBB is one for the ages. One of the few shows that I will listen to without my adhd wanting to skip around.
I’m gonna spin this now, I dont think I’ve ever listened to the whole show a few of the highlights.
CarpetCrawler: CarpetCrawler:This was a lot of fun…
