Releasing that as a vinyl box set would make some actual money for the band.
you think they’d see how successful Phish archive releases and Dave’s/Dick’s picks are/were.
-take old, beloved show and clean up the audio
-transfer to a form of media
-sell for profit
it’s literally that easy.
I can’t believe that I forgot to post this Barrymore heater yesterday, from 16 years ago. That show was fire top to bottom. The next night, 16 years ago tonight, was a blast, but pales in comparison to Madison, IMO.

I’m a day late from when Umph played but never forget the Bonnaroo 1 lineup. Umph listed below the likes of Rana, Particle, and Llama… I remember being pumped to catch my 3rd 2x2
I loved those wild improv-heavy Bucket of Bernie Brains shows.
Back before Bonnaroo became mainstream…
No doubt. I was a young pup so I had no idea what I was in for.
With all the amazing shows that UM has played at Summerfest, this one gets lost in the shuffle a bit.
This was a really fun show, as was the following night at the Terrace in Madison…
June 27, 2002 Umphrey’s McGee Henry Maier Festival Park — Milwaukee, WI, USA
Set 1: Dump City, The Haunt > When the World Is Running Down You Make the Best of What’s Still Around > The Fussy Dutchman, Ringo > The Triple Wide > Tribute to the Spinal Shaft > Moogasauras Rex > Anchor Drops, The Crooked One, Phil’s Farm > Walletsworth, Dr. Feelgood > The Fuzz, August > Pay the Snucka[1]
Encore: Last Man Swerving
Footnotes:
[1] part III only
Damn that looks fun as hell
Night 2 of my 2nd ever back to back UM show experience, the 1st being 3/22-3/23/2002.
The Summerfest set was amazing, but this one has the edge by a slight margin. This was my 3rd time seeing music at the Terrace, with the 1st being MMW a night or two before the first Phish show at Alpine in ‘96. Absolutely beautiful night on the Madison lakefront, and a far more loose and exploratory show in general. Just top shelf early Umphrey’s!
June 28, 2002 Umphrey’s McGee The Terrace, University Of Wisconsin — Madison, WI,USA
Set 1: Sociable Jimmy, White Man’s Moccasins > Q*Bert, Last Call > Tomorrow Never Knows > Gesture Under a Mitten, Utopian Fir[1] > In Violation of Yes[2]

[1] with Sweet Child O’ Mine (Guns N’ Roses) and Ain’t Talkin’ 'bout Love (Van Halen) teases
[2] with Thunderstruck (AC/DC) tease
[3] during the middle of the song, Brendan’s mic had some feedback problems; to help solve the problem the band went into a long (vocal) jam
[4] ended with Eminence Front (The Who) chorus and jam
My favorite one-set show ever attended was 14 years ago tonight on N2 of DUMB Ter!
Day late on this one…good weird night…The Bisco set features Bayliss on a 30+ minute I-Man…
June 30 , 2007
Set 1: Wizard Burial Ground, Example 1 > Walletsworth[1] > Nothing Too Fancy > Alex’s House > 40’s Theme, Words, Pay the Snucka, FF[2] > Nothing Too Fancy[2], Panama

The Fancy from the 2010 is one of my favorite show memeories. Also that junk from 2016 is no sleeper.
Not sure I’d ever heard this one. Really nice.
The Bad Friday isn’t too shabby either.
Also a day late but shout out to one of the All Time Greats and required listening for any UM fan

I’m getting very good at missing ‘the day of’, and being ‘a day late’….so, a day late on this, but very much worthy of the mention. First set was already absolutely amazing, and then Muffin Man happened with Dweezil & it became legendary. Set 2 was pretty stellar as well, but getting that 1st set at my first RR show was truly special.
July 2, 2016 Umphrey’s McGee Red Rocks Amphitheatre — Morrison, CO,USA

[4] with The Star-Spangled Banner (Key) tease
Then, ‘on this day’, another very solid show happened, which probably would be talked about more, if it weren’t for the shit that went down the previous night.
