I thought initially it would be a co-bill for this reason. But I guess not?
Even when they did DUMB tour it was 25% full
Very odd place for them to book
Even if it was UM/tDB/STS9 all together, i dont think it would be more than 50% full
Big Top is the proper STL summer venue for their current size. Chesterfield Ampitheater is even too big at this point
Gives the King Gizz fans that couldn’t find tickets something to do.
Eggy opening.
This is bad news
i know. probably going back into the studio ![]()
But wait, there’s more:
We have a couple dates in September that have already been announced, one show around Halloween time and our NYE run left for remainder of 2024.
Is it? I hadn’t bothered getting tix since I didn’t think they’d sell out the civic center
Ha, no idea, i am just trying to imagine any situation where someone goes to see UM over King Gizzard when they are both in the same town on the same night
Feel like Q1 and Q2 were really heavy compared to recent years, but even with a “single” Halloween show and a 3-4 NYE run, that is a v light back half of the year.
Anybody got me for the 23rd on Chicago? Need a miracle already.
In 2019 I drove 1.5 hours to see UM at Asbury Park over a local Gizz show in Philly.

Thoughts and prayers
that’s awesome they got a night at salt shed!
very surprised to see the Shed on there. TWT
I don’t think they’d fill the indoor Salt Shed up halfway (3,600cap)
Yea, i am not even being a hater. These are just way too ambitious
Unless Eggy is a lot bigger than I realize
Pretty sure they’re playing outdoors at the fairgrounds too
Maybe the size of the venue doesnt really matter to the promoter, though
I have never been on that side of the business, so not sure how that works, and when i have worked at veneus they were always club sized. Does it cost more to book larger rooms?
Edit: or is it moreso just that the space is available on the day that works
it’s too bad august/early september is already so busy. there are a bunch of fun dates on this release. these bros gotta start announcing shit earlier
