Over here across the pond my mom’s side was Irish and German descendants. My dad’s is more interesting, grandpa’s family traced back to Türkiye, grandma’s family traced back to the appalachians and that’s as far back as we can find. Mutt life

I’m “lucky” in the sense that I am biracial but can “pass” for white a bit easier than my siblings.
My dad and his siblings were probably some of the only brown people going to the Chicago stadium in the 70s + 80s.

I met a guy no joke said this to me during an internship. We held my arm and an African-American guy’s side-by-side and he claimed he couldn’t tell whose skin was darker.
