Excited to check out the palladium
Bozeman it is. See you losers there. Will be on the river if anyone wants to join.
Love seeing greenfield lake pop up every year. One of my favorite places to see them if not my fav
Might have to plan a Yellowstone trip around the Bozeman show
I really hope they return to the KettleHouse someday, I will definitely make that happen.
Not the best sign going from the 4,250 capacity amphitheater to the 1,100 capacity theater in Bozeman.
the GOAT scotch ale
excited for phils@giants day game → umphreys
Was just in Savannah for the first time with the fam. Loved it! Might have to take a trip down with just the “wife” for this one.
That stuff is incredible. Between that and Montucky there are some great beers in MT.
I was really hoping what I had heard about a 3rd show near the Bay Area was true. Might have to check out Reno and the Sierras. Somehow I’ve never been to that area of the country.
So confused because right after the dates were announced, Joel posted a photo of the Kettlehouse on Twitter and alluded to them playing it this year. I’m guessing Montana gets two shows this year, Bozeman and Missoula. Look for the Missoula announcement soon for 9/10.
Edit - Joel just kang’d my suspicion. Kettlehouse on 9/10.
I mean not this year but eventually
You should do Reno. I’ve seen the Postal Service at that venue and stayed there before too. It’s a fun place to see music. I am tempted to try to make it my layover on the way back from Phish Dick’s but I think I should just stay put and do all four nights. It is a bummer I am going to miss the California dates this year after having plans to do all four last year but I’m looking forward to Labor Day weekend in Denver!
Bozeman>Missoula is an easy drive…Portland>Bozeman not so much. Probably will do those two shows. Looks like Colorado, NWSS, Delaware?, Alaska, and Montana are my targets this summer. Ten shows could be a bit ambitious for me with a new job but I am confident I can swing these dates with enough planning time.
Also, what is up with the lack of 2+ nighters on this summer tour? St. Augustine, Colorado, and Pelham are the only places you don’t have to GITV once you land to catch more than one night…I wonder if they aren’t getting as many multinight offers from promoters post-pandemic (can we call it that yet?) and these markets are being more conservative in how they book jambands as a result. But look at Panic, they are still following their model and it seems to be working fine for them…
Alaska is also two nights. Can’t forget about that one!
These west coast shows will be pretty damn empty. Can’t compete when Phish doesn’t do a west coast tour. All the west coast peeps travel to Denver that weekend when that happens.
I hope this isn’t the norm going forward for UM WC.
I’m only going to the multiple night runs. TN and CO right now. I’m sick of driving state to state anymore as I get older.
I also think this model is going to hurt them in the long run as flight prices, hotels, and rental car prices rise. Multiple nights in one city is just easier on everyone and my wallet.
It’s also more enjoyable because there’s less time spent traveling and more time enjoying wherever the destination is. That’s one of my favorite parts about multi-night runs.
signed would rather hit a two night run than multiple nights. Love a multi city NE run though
Will also do Missoula when that goes official.
NE is an outlier to this problem since you can get to multiple states within an hour of each other. Everywhere else is way more spread out.
