This is true but at the same time panic is bigger than UM and always plays the Chicago Theater over the Aragon. A band that takes their fan’s experience into consideration over KB who will prioritize money over fan experience.
Same with Cheese. Their pre pandemic run at Chicago Theatre sold out real quickly. Not sure about the recent NYE run though
Umphreys gets shown up in their own city because they refuse to play better venues.
But the question is can they sell 3600 at $50-60? I don’t know
I think so. 50 is middle of the road these days
They charge like $35 now
Squeaky Feet?
I’m not disagreeing. I think they can come close on a one nighter if promoted well. It’s a gamble with how they’ve been selling is all I’m saying
Pretty sure the ticket for 10/6/18 at the Aragon was $50+ after taxes. Are they really trying to blame the venue choice on a $15 price bump?``
UM might not be selling out The Aragon in 2022, but they still have massive pull in Chicago. It’s just camouflaged with outdoor shows and drive ins lately.
No, the tickets we’re talking about would be like $70 after fees
It’s a total excuse. Same excuse for why they havnt played the Mission. They blame it on their relationship with contending promoters
They def like to pull that card for sure
So $70 instead of $50+
A 40% price increase for a venue that’s 100% better? I think we’d all take that.
Once you past $50 it’s all the same to me honestly.
0% chance I go to um at the Aragon, would definitely GITV if they played the aud or Chicago
Yeah, I won’t go back to the Aragon for UM. I did for Billy though.
Waiting in line on 12/30/16 for an hour was enough for me to say fuck that and sell my NYE ticket.
I’m 10 1/2 years into my Aragon boycott and haven’t regretted it once.
Ugh, yes. We would… but we’re not collectively filling a venue
Tickets for a Pink Floyd tribute show are more expensive than UM at Meijer Gardens…lol
And Meijer Garden has basically sold out every time they have played there.
