Most drug band drama has been speculation/land grabs, and the vast majority will go to tier 5. But the underlying technology is here to stay. Call them by whatever name but they’ll be ubiquitous in 3-5 years. You might be asking, ubiquitous for what? You name it. Pins, nostalgic vinyl releases of shows when they were good, t-shirts that neckbearded guys at the jazz show will fist bump you for, your youth etc. A token is simply a verifiable digital asset. In an increasingly blended world of IRL & online, proof of ownership in a secure, verifiable way will be paramount. The ability to engage & reward using blockchain will be a game changer.

Oh I never took it seriously.
I thought it was funny that crypto investments could lead to a band of 15 years breaking up. Like seriously fuckin’ LOL.
If it is true (or some form of it) then it was probably the tipping point of a lot of deep seeded issues between the guys that led to a falling out. Being a touring musician is hard. Doing it while playing a ton of dates at small venues year over year has got to be brutal and I assume would test the strongest of relationships.
Hope they can work through everything and patch things up.

Interesting to see them playing at Jannus. Will probably be a very spacious show.
Wish I could go, but there’s a strong possibility I will be flying to Savannah that day to load up a truck with some furniture and moving into a new apartment.

Didn’t catch much of the show (Animals As Leaders w/ Plini took precedence), but had a nice time hanging with the Spafford guys last night. Didn’t feel comfortable asking about Jordan or anything, but they all seem to be in a pretty good spot and having fun out there.
