Sky’s The Limit Winter Tour 2026

FR, I’d be ecstatic if he did this.

Yep, if you haven’t gotten pink eye from Bayliss are you even a real fan?

But yea, Similar Skin tour is when it was clearly not just a fluke and was a full blown concept/style change

At this point in my fandom, I’ve watched a few concert shots from several years back, and noticed that Stasik was real hammy when he had center stage, and thought to myself, that would be a giant turnoff if i saw that in concert.

I don’t care about them being tools if the music is good. Stasik came out of the womb as a douchebag. The Mohawk, the rat tail, the mustache. He is always trying to find new ways to distract the fanbase from the fact that he is just an okay bassist and sucks as a human. It was the watered down songwriting and sorry excuse for jamming that lost me

I’ve always said that my UM fandom reached its ultimate peak at Scamp ‘12. You started to see glimpses of the wheels falling off during the later part of winter/spring ‘12. But N1 and N2 of scamp ‘12 were so much fun. After that, the wheels fell off pretty hard in ‘12. There was an uptick in quality in late summer/fall ‘13 but it wasn’t sustained.

In the moment, it felt like 2012 was key for them finding a formula that trimmed the fat. The longer pieces of improv that took a few minutes to find their footing started to disappear and you started to hear a more refined, straight to the point type of product.

You did a better job of explaining it than me. Totally agree. Hope life is well. Miss ya.

I’m partial to N1 but both are so much fun. Such an amazing weekend of music.

What later became Fenced In pops up in this 2x2 from Scamp. When it’s still getting figured out other then the bridge. Such a killer set/shows

The gap day between the Portland shows is very odd. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that before

they need some kinda break day… it’s a pretty jammed schedule. they’re gonna be gassedAF for park city (which ironically is likely the only one of these i’ll attend)

but you’re right - outside of some NYE schedule shenanigans, it’s unusual to see

VIP show on the 18th?

tuesday+thursday, so weird!

I’ll probably fly out Wednesday after work to Portland, then head up to Seattle for the next show and finish the weekend out there.

Tues & Wed for SD is brutal. Fuck

Damn Wyo show in March, probably can’t make that.

This would be a killer road trip if driving road trips were reasonable these days

  1. Bend, OR → Spokane, WA: ~ 385 miles

  2. Spokane, WA → Missoula, MT: ~ 198 miles

  3. Missoula, MT → Jackson, WY (guessing): ~ 386 miles

  4. Jackson, WY → Park City, UT: ~ 254 miles
