I am not going to listen to Sigma Oasis more than the few times I already have, but I think it is a great album. They were able to recapture that raw sound that was missing from Big Boat, Fuego, and even Joy. The jams on Everything’s Right and Thread are incredible, and probably right up there with some of the best songs Phish has recorded. There are certainly a few lull spots, but you will have that.
Overall I would say it is their best album since Round Room. Not something I will spend a ton of time revisiting, but a really fun listen, especially when they released it live. It really brought the fan base together during these shitty times, and for that reason alone I will always have a soft spot for it. Phish is cool.
