RR+ 2022

If any -borters are interested in camping for the Dillon show, I just booked one of the group spots on lake Dillon for me and the friends. It can fit up to 100 people :flushed: there are only two groups spots like that on the lake, so I would be happy to add other peeps that want to party

Hahaha not a typo. There are two group spots on the lake that get booked for weddings and shit. So we got one of them for Thursday! The rest of the camping is fairly standard camp grounds - 5 per spot and you’re all nut to butt with neighbors

Oh, so this is a camping spot…not show space. I misunderstood.

Either way that’s incredible! Good for you. I’m over UM, but that Dillon amphitheater looks so dope. Would love to see a show there. Would be seriously cool to do a bort hang at one of those big spots by the lake.

When Lotus played two nights at the Mish in 2010 a group of us 50+ camped at Pingeree Park about twenty minutes north in the canyon and had DJs spinning till sunrise. Was a rowdy time. You got some decks?

Ahh yes that clarifies the confusion! Just a camp spot that can fit a lot of people. Though that’s an interesting idea with proper permitting… if the city would ever allow afterparties…

I live in Colorado and still have never been to the Dillon amp, but have camped here at the lake, so I am excited - it’s a beautiful area. I have heard awesome things about the Gerald ford amp, too. I have my frustrations with um, but I am not totally over them just yet.

While this would be awesome, the sound would carry over the lake way more heavily and in a more populated area than in the Poudre canyon

We are at the inner camp site, though, not the one directly on the lake, which is a benefit

A guy on FB is selling (2) 2-day rrx tix and is willing to go under face. Says “make me an offer”. After fees currently, (2) 2-day passes is $298.60, with $220 being without fees. Think getting them for $110 a piece is a good deal or could I get cheaper closer to the date?

Sorry for my second UM ticket question of the day

Bro just stop worrying about it. Generally, there is zero reason to worry about any UM shows selling out. How many have this year? Belly Up and Variety are all I can think of. Both small venues and the former had plenty of tickets available for resale.

BB Philly also stfo but that fits into your category of smaller venues (1K) and I think it was a day of

Not terribly worried about it selling out, just didn’t know if getting face tix without fees is ideal for UM RRX or if waiting closer to the date will have people dumping cheaper tickets

Last year there were ridiculously cheap tickets because of the whole presale lottery. Hard to say what it will look like this time around but I think I’m gonna wiat personally.

I’m waiting til the last minute to get mine, I assume miracles will be popping up as the time gets closer considering Slow and Co. announced Boulder the same weekend after UM announced their run.

Flights are getting pricey for this run. Glad I booked mine months ago but the “wife” wasn’t a sure thing to go (right at the end of her school year for teaching) so we are just now grabbing hers, looks like $300 each way from Portland. Staying at my cousin’s in Golden - her fiance is a 'Phreak so they’ll be at 3/4 shows. Driving back from Dillon that night but not sure how I am getting to Vail yet. If only my license wasn’t suspended I would just rent a car for the shows. Anyway, we are honing in on about a month away from these dates and I am getting pretty damn excited. My last Umphrey’s show was 8.15 in Des Moines last summer. Definitely not my longest gap between shows but in my 20s it was unheard of to go ten months without an Umphrey’s show in my life.

I was about to pull the trigger but literally can’t get a flight for under $650.

That’s ridiculous. That’s half the cost of flights I was looking at to Italy. Why?

Cause fuel is expensive as fuck now

Right. But Detroit > CO is half the cost of a flight across the Atlantic?
