Random, Spontaneous Thoughts about UM (Part Pee)

Good for them. Kind of a rarity these days, regardless of venue size.

Well…i was gonna go lol.

Guess u gotta come to Ravinia

I was gonna play it by ear the week of the show but guess I’ll have to wait until Yuba to see the that week. Going to Indy and Ravinia already so I can miss one.

Every single piece of composed music takes a HUGE hit without Jake. There have been good jams and I’ll still listen and go to local shows, but the songs just struggle without Jake IMO.

Edit: with that said, I respect BB a ton and he’s crushing it right now. And with some swagger. Comps suffer but still dig the overall vibe (for now)

Well said. This sums up my view to a T.

Looks like BB sat in for Home Sweet Home (Mőtley Crëw) last night with moe. - that fits his range, that’s a great idea. Pumped to listen

After listening, 7/15-7/17 is an all around great weekend. UM5 is legit.

Really good weekend of shows for them. I’ve been a skeptic of the 5 piece but will be interested if they can keep this up. Feel like a lot of times I’ve seen the band in recent years start the year hot in the winter and then settle back into an underwhelming groove. They’ve got a lot to prove rn so hopefully they keep the fire burning.

This Wappy from Roanoke is quite good

Speaking of wappy, what was the date for the version where , if I recall, they had tech issues in the intro and it ended up spawning into a spontaneous jam ? I bet @Albert_Ross knows this. I was addicted to this jam back in my big fanboy years

I love the 10/20/11 Wappy. You just have to make it past the girl screaming in the intro.

Milwaukee Halloween run or was that the sociable Jimmy?

Speaking of that time frame, the 10/21 show in Cleveland is a great one that flies under the radar a bit.

This isnt ringing any bells, but there is the 2013 Charleston Wappy where they do a few different keys/chords in the intro than usual

Great Wappy this run but the tech issues were with the lighting rig freezing during Sociable.

Found it - 5/4/14 wappy . Right after they played the backwards Ringo. They jam out the intro extensively — IIRC it was due to some tech issues and pivoting in the moment. Ends up being a very dope wappy

I thought this was a Squeaky Feet board now.
