Random, Spontaneous Thoughts about UM (Part Pee)

Hell yeah! My “wife” is from there so this will be an easy sell to visit the parents. I’ll probably do every August show currently scheduled.

Oh yeah Iowa City was an incredibly easy sell to the Wife, gonna try and convince her to let the kids camp at Driftless. It’s a very family friendly spot.

Any chance the band returns to Dillon 8/28-29? Colorado always needs some love it’s tough living there with all the music options they could use some more this summer…

Going to bring both the kids and “wife”. Excited for this one. Daughter’s first show, son’s 2nd.

Hell yeah brother

I’ve seen seven Umphreys shows this year which is the most I’ve seen in one year since 2017 (30). I don’t know if I’ll get to 30+ shows this year but I’m only 39 from 300. If I do Pine Creek, the five nights ending in Delaware, the nine August Midwest dates, and New Years I’ll be at 27 shows on the year. Granted New Years is three nights. I wonder where it will be this year given they gave ATL and Chicago love last year and have dates scheduled for both cities. Could it be Denver again? Will we finally get the Mission Ballroom? Anyways, I’m trying to GITV as much as possible this year and next. If UMBowl is in Milwaukee count me in too. \mm/

The Kenny’s Westside folks own it. Apparently they have quite the lineup of summer shows getting released shortly.

I had a blast there last year.

Awkward NYE with it being on a Thursday. Could do a reverse 4-night NYE run with shows on 12/31, 1/1, 1/2, 1/3

I hope they do that instead of a 12/30-31 thing. I also hope they try somewhere new again. Miami would have been a lot of fun.

12/31-1/2 in New Orleans or Las Vegas would be my choice. Let’s get debaucherous.

God damn! $100 for front row balcony at the Englert? That’s too much.

I definitely still bought them, but I felt the need to go on record.

What Is a Harvest Strategy?

A harvest strategy is a marketing and business approach that involves a reduction or a termination of investments in a product, product line, or line of business. It’s intended that the entities involved can reap—or harvest—maximum profits.

Every Englert show I attended was assigned seating. I remember Keller Williams being a free for all, Mickey Hart Band was strictly enforced by the boomers present. Haven’t been to a show there since 2014 though.

pretty dope lineup since last year it was a free “concert series” all summer aside from Chicago Farmer & the Fieldnotes playing two ticketed shows.

Crazy to see Chicago Farmer on there, didn’t know he was still doing the music thing. I camped with him at summer camp in 2008. Was not the biggest fan of his music. He had this song about a bleach blonde surf bro stealing his gf that absolutely drove me insane

Word around the Reddit campfire is, UM is done with wanting to deal with the Goldbergs. Idk shit but that’s definitely the rumor im seeing.
