but a genius he (sic) is not
Who said, I said it was a bad thing.
Duane would make more money playing less gigs with panic than he would with UM. Plus panic is still playing with some heart and inspiration. Homie ain’t going nowhere.
Yeah the Panic hate aint really hitting rn
I wish panic got more hate, would make tickets easier to get.
it’s all love. plus you started it.
So awful. Don’t know how I’ll add to my hetty show count of 3 now.
Terrible news. Kris is not replaceable. What a bummer.
I was going to make a post asking what Todd Nance was up to, but then I remembered he actually died.
Maybe gmac knows how to play drums?
there are dozens of us!
I know this is a hard day for you. Ill try to be nice.
Hes as dead as Mirro for sure.
How is @AlexTheDictator going to be able to buy the bort now?
Well im pretty bummed I missed Austin and one of Kris last shows with the band, but I’m not super shocked of the news. He kinda seemed to be on a different wave length than everyone else. He was one of the big reasons why I got so into them being a drummer myself, but I’m sure all the reasons he has are valid and UM will still be UM’ing along without him. Wish him the best.
Glad I got to catch them one last time for a solid show in Milwaukee with Kris. It does feel like my dog died but that is life. Just reflecting on how many people I got to meet traveling around and shows I went to over the years.
I was going to Bonnaroo in 2014 and a buddy said you have to see Umphreys (probably the worst Umphreys show I’ve seen to date). He just said the drummer and guitarist are on a whole new level. Kris was beyond impressive and I don’t know shit about music other than what my ears enjoy. I’ve seen them about 40 times since and very happy that I caught them in south bend in March. It sucks, but I hope this is situation that turns out to be the best of both worlds.
Still kinda processing. Theres just so many times I’ve been listening and watching and been blown away. I’m still gonna support this band, and wish for the best, cause fuck the haters. This band has provided so much for me, got me to travel and meet incredible people. Hell, the trip to Morocco with my mom and her getting to understand the music scene and why live music is so important to my soul.
Onwards and upwards.
