Also anecdotal but when I was getting a hair cut last week the lady cutting my hair asked if I could see any music artist ever live who would it be, and one I mentioned was the Dead. She had never heard of them. Hers was Freddie Mercury.
guess youâre not part of the A Team
Sucks for them
What does American institution even mean?
Taylor Swift is more popular and recognizable than the dead ever were or will be by a magnitude of several million.
is this not everybodyâs philosophy on the-bort in general?
Think out loud about it and maybe youâll come up with one
uncultured swine
Nothing really, I was just saying that the idea that the Grateful Dead are just some drug band that is only big/known by other drug bands was really underselling them considering they are one of the top-grossing rock bands of all time and have had an impact on the US economy for 50 years.
The Grateful Dead also changed the weed game. So many of the best strains got their start on Dead tour. Not saying that means their music is superior to anything. Just that the Dead has had a huge impact on pop culture in general.
Oh wow Jerry even impacted the economy? He could do anything.
wrote a freelance article about this exact thing a few months ago.

Yes, when people follow you around and spend money on goods in your town, they are impacting the economy.
They just came out and said Eras Tour gave us a boost.
Consumers spending money impacts the economy. The Dead have been getting people to spend shit loads of money for 50 years.
I wish I was a loser YouTube influencer so I could make a video asking random people on the street to name a famous Jerry.
Iâm convinced the top answer wouldnât be Garcia.
Seinfeld or Springer
I am guessing Seinfeld
Honestly Seinfeldâs voice is more recognizable than Garciaâs
You are probably right.
Ving Rhamesâ voice is more recognizable than Eddie Vedderâs.
