Absolutely. Behind my dad, you’re like my 2nd favorite person in the AvL area.
He sucks tbh
What you got against @SchladopianFir 's Dad?
If you want to see a neat trick, call him “guy.”

I don’t think I’ll ever get sick of going on tour. In fact, the more elusive it’s been lately, the more I want to do it. My “wife” is not part of the scene and I’ve found it tougher to make it happen the last few years, which is why I want to get back after it.
Meeting new people and seeing new places while revisiting old haunts and strengthening decade+ relationships will never get old to me. I think the product is still pretty solid. Maybe I’m getting too nostalgic at this point in my life but the happiest years of my life were seeing 30+ shows. I’m also not trying to settle down and have kids anytime soon. I’m trying to have a midlife crisis and go on permater again while I figure it out.
Apparently a lot
Been like that for years now. Hurts to miss a show when they’re within a few hours but not worth me taking days off of work to make a whole run happen
My UM career:
1st show - I’m intrigued (‘05)
2 - 10 - still intrigued
11-80 - omg
81-105 - I’m getting tired, but this is fire
105-110 - this ain’t it
111-115 - this def ain’t it
116-130 (current) - I’ll never not love this band*
- my love has changed/morphed into something like “I grew up with this band. I’ll always love them. I’ll say it sucks when it sucks but I still love them”
Started in ‘05.100th in ‘12. Currently at 130ish. Did a couple years of seeing 0 shows between ‘12-‘18. Haven’t traveled out of state for them in a while. Still absolutely love them.
Love how half the-Bort is like “I heard summer tour rumors that everybody’s going to love” and the other half is all “I’m done seeing this band, they suck now.”
Nah, it’s split in thirds with the third group being “I’m excited to see new shows so I can tell everyone how much they suck”
I’m in that weird 4th group. “I love everything about this band. Let Andy sing”.
Yup. This has always been the case for me. I’m at 100+ but rarely listen back (or to other shows), couldn’t tell you the date of a standout version, and most of my other music isn’t jam other than some dead, moe., and Dopapod. Maybe the lack of full saturation (JO) has kept me from becoming fully jaded. I still travel and get pumped for this band.
I think a lot of you aren’t eating enough acid.
I haven’t seen UM since October 21. My next shows are in June. This is by far the longest I’ve gone since first getting into this band. I’m really looking forward to it but I won’t be devastated if something comes up that makes me miss them like I would have been if I was in my peak fangirl phase a decade ago.
I will always love UM. They’re cringy as fuck sometimes but I love their songs so much.
For me, it’s mostly I “loved” their songs. Post-Mantis, not a lot of their newer songs get me as excited as the material from the first 10-12 years as a band.
Yeah same that’s what I mean. I still want to see UM so I can hopefully catch some old school songs
Seeing a jammed out The Haunt at Meijer Gardens last summer was worth the price of admission. And that show, in general, was really good. I’m just not going to invest much time/money to see them at this point.
If you over consume drugs and alcohol at every UM show to the point where you don’t remember it, then every show is like your first show and you’ll never get jaded
