until this recent eugene show, i hadn’t seen ‘when the world is running…’ a second time, since that first show. but over a hundred shows later and i finally caught it again. no way I’ll catch a gesture or seca cabo again

Me too brah, me too. I used to have to talk to myself on here to keep things interesting. I love when Umphrey’s is actually on tour too since that encourages discussion of at least the most recent shows and highlights. I honestly feel like there is a void in my life from lack of UM discussion these days. My girlfriend isn’t into them, I don’t have too many friends that live close by into them, and between this board, Facebook, and texting, I still don’t get enough stimulation around the subject. I should just record myself talking to myself about UM and start a rival podcast network to DATC as a project or something.
Haha you’re funny with the rival podcast idea. I get what you’re driving at, it would be a great way to keep yourself engaged with talking about things like improv tendencies, length of jams.
what is quality? What goes into a goat level moment that makes them so phenomenal?? Yeah, you could spin that a few different ways and get a boatload of material out of it
I’ve owned Umphreys dot Net for several years now too so I already have the domain to drive traffic to it. I was thinking of doing a podcast called Unicorn Poop after the cannabis strain and idea that it’s not all rainbows and unicorns where I could critique the business moves of Kevin Browning and Co. offering wild ideas to try instead of what they are currently doing. Basically I’m delusional to the point I think I have a lot of useful advice for the band to consider lol. I need to have a new creative outlet in my life ASAP this could be it brah this could be it.
You could call it a business strategy analytics podcast concentrating on revenue promotion for UM. Dream big

At the caverns for a cave show (1.2k capacity) and there’s already WAY more people camping than the caverns amphitheater (5.5k capacity) DUMB run last year
Idk if it’s crowd age or camping in April is better than August, but I’m pretty mind blown. Or EDM kids are cheaper than jam vets

I didn’t think camping was that bad for the DUMB run I thought it was going to be much hotter and miserable. I would say 7/10, I’ve had way worse experiences at Summercamp.
