Random, Spontaneous Thoughts about UM (Part 1)

Stasik is a primary driver of interesting/diverse improv imo. When he’s really on, the whole band is way better for it

Agreed. It’s amazing how much he has improved the past decade IMO.

Fall 2013 Stasik ftw

Fall 2013 is when I really noticed Stasik taking a step up. Never understand the hate he gets post ‘13. He’s a great bass guitar player for UM’s style. Just wondering how well he is going to gel with the new drummer after Myers left this weekend.

Any time stasik leads a stew its promising. If Jaco sets the A section it generally is not going anywhere far IMO

A true bounce back stew requires a solid pony foundation

That was definitely the first tour I remember him stepping up. Always thought 10/17/12 was a really stand-out stasik night too.

9/26/15 Ringo 2nd jam would like to have a word with you.

But in general, I would agree

Soultan couldn’t help himself. Forget doing lines off a bass neck, he’s blowing loads on setlists now

The fact kabump isn’t unanimous or that august has any votes at all makes me sad
