I’m looking for a way out of seeing that song live…ever

BMG

But I did like the song a lot as long as it is never played live like this iteration. If the drums and bass increased energy throughout the song it might be a cool slow build type of song.

I like the vibe, kind of a dreamy thing going on. Not really concerned about hearing it live because it clearly wasn’t made with that thought in mind.

the song’s not bad though. i have to say repeated listens are growing on me. has kind of a Phone Went West vibe. play it with a big swell at the end and all of us will be jizzing all over ourselves about how great it is…

This is spot on, reminds me of that song a lot. The song and reverb are very MMJ-esque.

Definitely reminds me a bit of the BB solo songs we got in the Mantis bonus collection, particularly Everyone Is On Their Own Tonight

How long until they change the name of the band to “Kevin Browning Presents, Umphrey’s Mcgee”

Sounds more like Radiohead than MMJ imo. I hate Radiohead

I really enjoy it for what it is. Sax solo at the end is a great touch imo.

I zoned out to this one this morning with a bowl and a coffee and it was rrrrrreal nice

Umphreys has a song called interloper?

From the it’s you / it’s not us B sides album. Seven Signs is also dope

Was on the B side of the hidden Hanging Chads single vinyl that came in the deluxe package

That’s awesome. My 13th anniversary was early March. 07 baby!

speaking of totally emo UM, why was Final Word such a 2014 thing? where did it go?

It’s trapped inside of DBK
